Hi all,
Its been a long time since I last posted so I just thought I would give you all an update.

I am still working at the same job (which I really love) and still have to wear fairly conservative and businesslike clothes to work everyday which usually means a dress, suit, or blouse/skirt, and hose. Unfortunately, if anything, my bladder issues have gotten worse not better and Im as heavy a wetter as ever. Not because of any further health issues but mainly due to aging - or so my doctor says. Exercising seemed to help a little at first but not as much anymore.

Anyways Ive tried alot of different absorbant products in the last two years as there have been lots of new product come out. I tried the Poise panties (which I tried wearing with thigh highs) but I didnt really like the thigh highs and I felt the panties werent absobant enough anyway. I did try putting a pad (poise Ultra) in the Poise panties but it did not feel comfortable or very secure so I only did that one time. My best bets for pads are either the Poise Ultimate pads or Serenity (now Tena) Ultimate pads (it can be confusing as these products have the same name!). Usually I do not have any leakage with either product as long as I make sure I change them often. I used to only wear diapers at home or for sleeping (where they are an absolute necessity!) but Ive started to wear them to work now as well as I feel the give me the best protection against leakage. Ive used Attends, Depends, and Abena. For now Im using Attends (under my pantyhose) during the day and Abena or Depends at night. I usually can get thru a work day with only one Attends change (sometimes without one but not usually). The only downside is needing a rather large purse to hold the diaper as i try to be very discreet about this. Pads are a bit easier to conceal in a smaller purse and disposal of them is easier too (I usually take the wet diaper with me and dispose of it elsewear as there are only 3 women in the office where I work and the ladies room trash barrel is not very discreet.

Sorry again for a long post but I hope this information is helpful.

Mary

Another suggestion is go to shopnational.com and buy their nylon heavy duty incontinence panty (from Health Dri) its for moderate incontinence and has a leak proof crotch. Add a pad to this panty and you'll be good for the whole day. The panty is reusable just put it in the wash like your regular panties.

No need to, that will allow the panty to get soaked quicker. When the pad is full it will bleed thru to the panty and give the extra protection you need.

When you put a pad in the panty, do you cut slits in the waterproof backing of the pad so the fluid can get through to the panty. It seems otherwise it would be just like wearing the pad alone.

Add a pad to the panty, or if that doesn't work or suit wear thigh high stockings instead of pantyhose, makes changing the panty as easy as changing a par.

Poise Panty

Hi all,
I've been using the Poise Ultra-Plus pads for some time now as I am a very heavy wetter both day and night. I like the Ultra-Plus as they are certainly better than any maxi Ive tried, however, there have been times that I have even had leakage with these. I have recently tried the new Poise panty and they seem to fit well and have good absorbancy, although I have only used them for about a week now. But I like like the fit although I'm not fully sure that they are that much more absorbant since I have not used them for that long.

My main problem with them is that my job position requires me to wear a dress or skirt with pantyhose almost everyday. The pads are no problem to change during the day (I am a secretary at a small but very conservative professional company), however in order to change the panty I must basically undress in order to get the panty off from under the pantyhose. This is a real inconvenience that I had not thought through as I was hoping to get through the day. But the other day I needed to change the panty and although I had brought an extra one I really had no place to undress except in the small ladies room where there is only limited privacy. It is one thing to pull a pad out of your panties in a stall (we all do it) but to have to remove half my clothes (shoes, hose, and skirt) is a real problem. I like the panty, so what should I do? Does anyone else have this problem? Do I have to begin wearing diapers (briefs)?

Sorry for the long post,
Mary
