I find that using the ultimate pads in my diaper helps me they make the diaper in to an extended wear one on each side in the back and one on each side in the front prevents leaks for most of the day, increase the number of pads at night and go all night with out a change.

Dear LissaPS,

I'm so glad you reached out! I want you to know that I'll be forwarding your post over to the Consumer Services team first thing in the morning. They always want to hear what women think about the Poise pads.

If you'd like to talk with them by phone about your concerns, or have them help you select the best pad for your needs I'll include their phone number. Sometimes talking with someone live can be mush easier for finding the best solution. Please feel free to phone them at 1-888-525-8388. Thanks again for reaching out!

Best Wishes,

Hi.. I am a 2x person myself and have the same problem. I only occasionally leak, but sometimes it is a gush. Therefore, it has run over the edges or up the back if I am sitting. Has this happened to you? Usually for me it is from coughing from post nasal drip.
I hate to say it, but I don't think there are pads big enough in existence, nor probably panties that fit. I try and buy the longest ones I can or overnights that are thin. If I can, I stand up when it happens to try and stop the running of it, and have even put a small piece of tissue to catch it. I change it right away if I can and always try to have spare panties handy. Very annoying.
Lately the Walmart Exact brand ones seem to absorb the fastest. Price is better too.
Poise if you are reading these posts, your pads do not absorb quickly enough for me. It should be instant. And why do they cost so much more than feminine napkins?

These are my issues.
Thanks for listening.

I recommend trying full brief nylon-spandex panties by Shadowline. They are snug fitting and have a wide enough crotch to accommodate the Poise Hourglass pads securely. They are available online at their website and come in a full range of sizes. I also recommend, for extra security especially on trips, wearing plastic incontinent panties over the panties and pad. This provides an added measure of confidence that leakage is contained. These are also available online from several sources and in a range of sizes and colors.

I have had a hard time finding the proper pads for my mother, but I have found that she absolutely loves Poise! I have a wonderful website called my-healthandsafety.com where I am always able to get my order in and it gets to me very quickly! The people are wonderful and even send out coupons! -Linda

I am so pissed! I had a large long on for less than an hour, and it leaked all over me! Dont claim to insure leakage if it doesnt! I am soo disappointed that I wasted my money on such a lousy product! I am only 52, but I might as well depends if these are my only option!

My Mom is also not able to get absorbent panties her size, and she has the same incontinent bladder as I do. She does use the poise pads and wears them under her regular panties or girdle to hold them in place well, even after they get a little heavy (you know how that feels I am sure). Usually she can go up to several hours between changing. One thing, if you wear the pad under panties or girdle that is pulled too tight. just enough to keep the seals against you and support the pad as it gets heavier. You can tell if it is right if walking is fine without the pad chafing you. If it is chafing, it is too low and not sealed either. Well that is my experience and is confirmed by my mom. Good luck with your trip and regular use hon!

How to find proper pad or panty

Jun 24, 2008 2:48 PM
Hi - new here. I have a mixed incontinence. Never had a REAL accident. But close calls.

I am a bigger woman and I cant find any of the "panties" that fit me. Are there any larger size women who can give me some advice.

I am taking Sanctura but no med seems to help much. I did Stop all diet products with ASPARTAME and that helped a bit.

I am going on a bus trip July 4 weekend and I DREAD it (cant cancel) bec. its a small bus with no bathroom (I didnt think they could even use that type of bus inter-state.) I am getting a new prescrip from Dr for a new version of Sanctura and trying to figure out which pads to use meanwhile.

I am so glad i found this board and can talk to people about this. i am tired of planning my travel around this problem and NOT being able to go on tours.

Thanks for any advice you might be able to give.
