I was having LBL issues for years and luckily found this website, as well as pads, that do the job. It wasn't until early in January, while colouring a friend's hair, that I realized something bigger was going on. Standing for what didn't seem to be a long period of time, in a skirt and panty hose, I had no urge to "P", which was also getting to be an increasing in numbers matter. Next thing I know, I am TOTALLY WET right down to my ankles! I was shocked and embarrassed. After what seemed an eternity to wait to get in to see an amazing gynocologist, and have a state of the art bladder test, turns out I've got myself a droppy bladder. As much joy as I did have around having a partial hysterectomy nine years ago, turns out that providing an empty "cubicle" within my body, the bladder decided to get lazy and hang right on in there. Therefore, in August, my bladder is getting a hike on up in the world. I truly trust my gyno who is quite the professional womyn, with a magnificant smile, and who wouldn't send me to surgery unless it was absolutely necessary. Too bad my GP wasn't more willing to conduct a pap test -"Since you've had a hysterectomy, we don't need to" - that way I wouldn't have had to deal with wet panties for as long as I had. Don't put "it" off. If you feel that something just isn't right. Trust your gut, I always say. Its your feminine intuition speaking to you. Take care and be well my Sistahs.

PS: I also started taking Enagic's UKON (tumeric supplements) and have noticed more bladder strength and control.

I sympathize with you. I have heavy leakage and wet myself daily from drinking 1 gal on water per day. My kidneys need water flush, but it causes my bladder and my confidence such havoc! I do everything I can to stay dry. I wear Poise pads all the time, but today started using Depends to avoid accidents. Reading on this site, tells me that too much water causes the uncontrollable wetting. I suspected that, so in the last few days I have reduced water intake. It seems to be helping. I have more confidence using the pads and Depends. I was surprised to find the Depends are confortable. Good luck and keep sharing!

I walked into the store , didn't have an urge to use the bathroom and all of a sudden while standing in the checkout line, I didn't leak, I literally peed on myself. Tell me, if I had on an Poise liner would this have helped me? or am I beyond help? I am so thankful I watched the view this morning and heard Whoppi Goldberg and the community manger of Poise having this conversation. I truly need help.
