I am 66 years old ,with 2 new knees which bother me most of the time. I started trying to dance with my grand daughter, and it feels good. I have to take it slow but it works for me.

I usually go to the YMCA swimming in the afternoon when I am least likely to have any leakage.

okay, call me crazy. i did a sprint triathelon last summer and knew that the lbl would be a problem. i do not run because of my knees, but going for 2 hours after swimming and biking i knew would be a problem. my son does the olympic tri's and he was joking about how all the boys just go to the bathroom in their wet suit rather than stoping. it is all about timing and speed and these jocks don't want to waste time in the room.

so here i am in the full tri suit and it is the last leg of the tri. i know that i will walk as fast as i can (i am 65) but walking fast with full bladder is a problem. i stepped off the course into the woods (thank goodness for trees) and just let it go and then i finished the rest of the race with no problem.

what is the deal about just doing it!!! and getting that problem taken care of. the suit washes and dries and the woods don't care.

my 2cents. i love the fact that this site shares info from all kinds of people, all ages and genders. i have been wearing the liners for a couple of years and they are wonderful. i keep an extra in my purse all the time. have only had one problem when walking with my friend who really rushes after i had coffee.

i have noticed a big difference with two things. i gave up coffee and that was big (still do tea, but it is different) and i lost weight --even a couple of pounds is very helpful.

keep moving!! paula

I go to Curves. The workout is great and I have met a lot of friendly ladies. Only 30 minutes, got to love that!

Darn! I used to like running, and was hoping to be able to start doing that when the weather gets warmer. Now I hear all these stories about wet pants when running. So, I guess I'll stick to walking, and riding my bike, and yoga.

What about step exercises, and dancing, or a treadmill? Are they safe?

I seem to have light leaks. I haven't had any public accidents. The only thing I've noticed is that when I get up from my computer after a few hours, my jeans are damp. I'm retired now, so don't have to worry about problems at the office anymore.

If you are a leaker...and do not or can not run please try indoor cycling...you can get the padded cycling shorts and also wear a pad if needed...I found that I did not leak at all when I rode in spinning class...Talk about a calorie burner! Plus, if you need to wear protection...those cylcing shorts cover a multitude of sins...like pads...then maybe you can just go to a body sculpting or aerobics class in your "spin " shorts and no one thinks anything of it...It really opened alot of activities for me...Hey, give it a go..We all know how to ride a bike, right? Go and enjoy yourself and the heck with the leaking...you'll be glad you have a pad on even with padded shorts...those seats are tough!!

Calorie Burning Workouts

I don't have a lot of time in a day to work out, but I wondered if anyone has any good workout activities that burn a lot of calories?
