How to remove glue residue on clothing

 I just recently bought new underwear and after washing the crotch has gotten stiff and hard and these are fairly new! What can I do to remove the glue residue from the item? I have been using Poise pads for several years and not had this problem before this year, what is causing this? Over the years I've had problems with other products like Serenity pads that did this and this is why I choose Poise pads over other brands because their product did not do this until now.
